New Zealand Dream Weddings and Christchurch Helipro are delighted to offer all you Whale Lovers this wonderful wedding experience.

Enjoy a fantastic scenic flight up the South Island’s East Coast, with views of the rugged Pacific Ocean coastline to the east and the Southern Alps to the west.  It is common on this flight to see seals basking in their natural habitat.

Arriving in Kaikoura after approximately 45 minutes of flight time, you will then board a Whale Watch helicopter.  The pilots have intimate local knowledge of whale behavior and their informed commentary will greatly add to the experience of viewing these amazing creatures in the wild.

During the flight back to Christchurch we will land in on a beach or riverbed for your wedding ceremony, then celebrate with a picnic and bubbly.

This Wedding Experience will take half a day :-)

Package for this wedding is priced for couple without guests and include GST

Basic Package NZ$5700

  • Coordination
  • Helicopter fees
  • Minister or Celebrant
  • 2 witnesses as required by NZ law
  • NZ Legal Marriage License and processing of application
  • NZ Marriage Certificate application and processing
  • Apostle Stamp application and processing (this stamp is recognized all over the world as a legal wedding – takes approx 30 days from the date of your wedding and once I receive I will forward by registered mail to your home address
  • Personal assistance when you arrive into Christchurch to uplift your Marriage License
  • Complementary glass of NZ bubbly or Sparkling NZ Grape Juice and picnic.
  • Photography package –  (I am giving 1 hour free in this package– so you only pay for 1 hour :-)   )
    • 2hrs.
    • 150 photos taken
    • No photos developed
    • High-resolution jpegs on disk of all photos in a mixture of colour and black & white.
    • Available 48 hours after wedding
    • 10 images will be available on NZ Dream Weddings facebook page within 48 hrs.

Additional options

  • Brides Bouquet – medium size hand held posy (upon booking can you please advice choice of colour flowers. We recommend that roses be used as these can be obtained all year round. Or send through a image from the Internet and I will check that flowers will be available at the time of your wedding). NZ$200
  • Hair and Makeup styling – $120 per service
  • Bridal cars with ribbons and chauffeur in Limo or Rolls Royce – to take you from your accommodation in Christchurch to the Heli-base and return. (pricing based on 2hrs. Please confirm upon booking your choice of vehicle… Limo or Rolls Royce. Thank you) NZ$495
  • Grooms buttonhole to match brides posy NZ$28
  • Flowers for brides hair – starting price is NZ$5 each flower

  • DVD NZ$1,800 – includes… coverage of your wedding is digitally edited on broadcast quality equipment and comes complete with professional titles, music and presentation case. U Lapel mics for both celebrant/minister and groom to ensure quality audio. Highlights of service uploaded to New Zealand Dream Weddings facebook within 48hrs for family and friends to view. DVD copy of your wedding in presentation case delivered within 48 hours after the service (please refer to option sheet for extras available for DVD.)
